I have had SpeedDial for about a year now and it seemed to work well - but then it threw a wobbler and hasn't recovered! Loosing patience now and will bin both it and Firefox if it doesn't stabilise soon. Have been through all the options - cleared history and cache, refreshed, uninstalled and reinstalled FF and it continues to refresh all the saved dials repeatedly - doesn't stop. In consequence, Firefox runs very, very slowly and laptop freezes. Fred McD suggests contacting Speed Dial support - but haven't tracked it down - where is it and are they any good? Thank you.

Hello Ray,

Bin Firefox because an extension doesn't work the way it should ? Of course you don't mean that, do you ?
Firefox merely hosts these add-ons as a service to users .....

You can send the developer an email - see under "More information" → "Support Email" :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/speed-dial-lite/

In case you use this "Speed Dial":

Thanks for taking the trouble to respond to my problem - as I said in a reply somewhere, support seemed to be non-existant and I didn't find any - just your reply. However I came back to the PC after a few days and was looking at the 'Global Options' for SpeedDial when I noticed Speed Dial preview setings. An extension update had set this to 'Set all manual to Auto Thumbnails' - reset this - 'Turn off Auto Update' and the extension works as it should i.e. Firefox speed is restored and the extension isn't continuously updating all the dials of which I have about 90. See attached. PC and Firefox browser operation restored to normality thank goodness!
