When I changed my installation from beta to standard release, I did so by Dling the standard version installer and running it. I launched and used the installation "selector" and chose my existing profile, and was able to launch into the standard version and see all my existing sent and received emails, archives, etc. But when composing a new message and typing in addressees, I no longer get a pop up of address book text string matches to simplify choosing recipients. It appears some corruption or incompatibility exists between the address book created/used by the beta version and the one created/used by the standard version.

Can anyone help?

Thanks, Mike

There is no guarantee of downgrade compatibility. That is why the profile per install was introduced. I would suggest you try resetting toolbar etc in safe mode but it is only a possibility. Given the address book is under continuing development, including a new user interface and being in a tab not a window with some changes even hidden behind a hidden preference anything is possible really. The day of trying things out using your production profile are basically over. I dd not take it well, but I have accepted it.

Why change from Beta to standard? Beta will be the release version within weeks.
