FF 99.0.1 (32 bit) Win 7 desktop, loading too slow
With this new FF version it's now taking 2+ minutes to load FF. Yes, 2 minutes to load this thing. A problem I didn't have with the previous version. I've read the support forum for this problem and tried everything noted. I've removed and reinstalled FF twice now, restarted the PC multiple times. I have 4GB of memory which is the same PC configuration for this PC for the last 4 yrs. No new programs, no issues with anything else on this PC so this is a FF issue. Note that once FF has loaded it functions fine - no slowness at all.
Nothing helps with loading this FF version. This is disappointing and it's become enough of an issue to find a different browser to work with, which I hate to do but my patience has run the full gambit with the version of FF. And yes Google Chrome, MS Edge and Opera open within a few seconds, which Firefox used to.

So what happened when you load Firefox via Safe Mode? Did you have the same issue with Firefox under different Windows account? Have you tried Windows in Safe Mode to see if Firefox load faster? What security software are you running? I have Windows 7 and have no issues with the Firefox load time.
It is possible that Firefox tries to run unfinished tasks from the last close down in case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes".
Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox Title bar, especially if you have multiple windows open to prevent losing tabs in unnoticed windows.
- "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
- Windows: File -> Exit
- Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
- Linux: File -> Quit
None of this helped. I've removed everything FF related from this PC that I could find. I downloaded FF beta 100.0 and this version is able to open within seconds. This is the only FF/Mozilla info I have on this PC now. So, issue solved - for me
