Clicking a mailto link in any browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome) does not work if Thunderbird is open; shut Thunderbird and the link works - up pops the Thunderbird write window.

I am computer literate and made sure all, yes ALL, settings, file type, protocol associations are correct and also thunderbird is always up to date. As I write it is 91.11.0 (64-bit).

Changing to Microsoft Mail cures the problem whether or not MS Mail is open or not, but I prefer Thunderbird.

Any thoughts,

David

I am using 102.0.1 and am up-to-date and using win 11 home and the mailto works as anticipated. Thunderbird has no setting other than the one to check for being default app.
