After the last major update (right now it's 102.3.3), I'm facing a weird problem.

I'm using a personal ID certificate for S/MIME, but the new email window has always PGP turned on by default (see attachment).

Once I want to send a message I'm getting an error that PGP is not configured.

Is there anything I can do to get back to S/MIME turned on by default?

Thanks in advance, Tim

You can temporarily turn on OpenPGP encryption for the account. For this you'd need to create an OpenPGP key first. This can all be done in Account Settings - End-To-End Encryption for the account.

With OpenPGP enabled for the account, go to End-To-End Encryption - Advanced settings - Preferred encryption technology. You should now be able to select 'Prefer S/MIME'.

Once selected, I suppose you can disable OpenPGP again (select 'None' in End-To-End Encryption settings).
