If I am on Google Chrome and I type in a twitter post, words that are spelt incorectly are underlind in red... however FireFox does not do this, so I end up posting with many spelling mistackes. How to make it check spelling? If it cannot, I uninstall and go back to Chrome.

In basic entry fields, you can right-click and verify that "Check Spelling" is enabled. I don't know whether that works on sites with fancy text editors (the kind that allow rich formatting as your type or intercept media pastes, etc.).
