I had been using the RC versions of 4 and had been storing tabs between startups but firefox stopped working. So I saved the profile and uninstalled and restalled the the full Firefox4. On startup when I checked the files in the new profile they did not match the ones that were in the profile I had saved. Specifically folder startupCache did not exist before, niether did urlclassifier3.sqlite or XUL.mfl. If one of these is the new storage for the stored tabs is there anyway to convert the files in the old profile to the new one and if so which files are they in the old profile?

It is possible that the new files got created in the Firefox Profile Folder instead of the location of the cache folder. You can delete them if they aren't used or updated.

You can probably find them here:

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
