I have links and passwords saved in the Face Book home page in order to log in easier. Two links were deleted but when I re-entered them, The tab that usually pops up asking if you want the computer to remember it, isn't there. I've tried everything and looked all over for it. How come the remember tab is not showing up?

Check your preferences to verify that they are ok:

  1. Go to Tools > Options > Security tab.
  2. Make sure that Remember Passwords for sites is selected.
  3. Click the Exceptions button and verify that www.facebook.com is not present in the list.

Also make sure that you not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
