The back button often responds with a drop down history list instead of just going back to the previous page. There used to be a small arrow for that, why did you do that?

When I left click the back button instead of the browser navigating back, I will almost every time get a list of the previous browsing history or it will just do nothing until I click on the button again. The back button combination history list rather than a separate between the buttons history click area is the problem. Combined with my aging arthritic fingers that is. If I were as quick as I used to be I guess it wouldn't be a problem. I liked the separate history area. This combination action navigation / history buttons scenario is problematic. I am fairly certain if I find it troubling enough to bring it to your attention there are others (Old Fogies) in the same boat as I am.

Thanks for listening D

Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:

  • Right click on the Back or Forward button
  • Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens

That would be a wonderful solution if I could disable the function that holding down the navigation button duplicates. With the plug in installed the button still inadvertently displays the recent browsing history. Can I Do that?

They say it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Maybe this old dog will teach himself to let go of the button once he has pressed it. Thanks for your suggestion, it does show someone else dislikes the response of the button and drop down list. Maybe somebody will slip that little down arrow between the navigation buttons and make it the only hot spot for history. If you want forward and backward history pop ups give the arrow two parts. Top forward and bottom back. I suppose you could do a left right (Back-Forward) History button using the same style button as the plugins arrow.

Jus Yappin!

Thanks for your timely response .. I'll use it until there is something better! D.
