I have a LG Optimus S Black from Sprint, I would like Firefox mobile, I've been keeping up with the status of the mobile app for the past year or so, waiting for my phone to get added to that list of accepted devices and yet, nothing. You can put it on a piece of shit iphone, but lg is just too much work?

Sorry, Firefox is not yet small or fast enough to run acceptably on phones like the Optimus S that do not support ARMv7 optimizations. We're continuing to work on making Firefox smaller and faster, and might someday be able to support phones with older or lower-end processors. We're also looking at other ways to support these phones, like possibly a version of the "Firefox Home" sync app that works on Android.
