One of my essential add-ons does not work with version 5. How can I back up to version 4 for awhile?

Maybe if you read about privacy, policy and sharing of data you'd change your mind. But it was reported that it appeared to work if you used something like the "Add-ons Compatibility Reporter".

You can force 5.0 "compatibility" with the "Add-on Compatibility Reporter" extension, or with extensions.checkCompatibility using about:addons.

I'm afraid the privacy/data sharing ship has sailed. I have so many layers of script blocking and security that I can barely crawl around the internet as it is. But if you want to use it, you have to give up information. Just look at how many scripts every site wants to run.

I will try out the "force compatibility". Thanks.
