how can i find a java console compatible with firefox 8.0?
I recently upgraded my firefox to firefox 8.0 & after the conversion, i realised that some of my add-ons were disabled. i had to manually enable some of them, however, i found that the add-on "java console 6.0.27" was permanently disabled as the version was not compatible with firefox 8.0. Since java console 6.0.27 was permanently disabled, i cannot view PDF documents on-line as the words are blurred and faded. I need to have this problem rectified as soon as possible. If it cannot be resolved, how can i revert to the previous version of firefox i had before conversion?

Even the latest version of Java console i.e. 7.0.01 is incompatible with Firefox 8. If you want to download the latest version of Java, then you can download it from http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp or http://filehippo.com/download_jre_32/
thank you xr417for your quick response. how can i revert to the old version of firefox i had before i converted to 8.0?
Post a URL where you are having problems with viewing PDF as I don't see why PDF has anything to do with java or the console. I view PDF's online all the time and no java is required, etc.
i don't think you are quite understanding my problem. before the conversion to firefox 8.0, i could have clicked on a PDF document & read it online clearly. Since the conversion, i'm incurring this problem where as i open up any PDF document online, the whole document is blurry & faded. I will have to download the PDF in order to view everything crystal clear. How can i fix this annoying problem?
Hi reble0708,
I have Java console disabled on my Firefox browser.Everything is working fine for me. There maybe other problem on your browser which is making PDF document faded and blurry. Can you post the link where you found the problem viewing the PDF document?
Btw, you can go to ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/ and select the previous version of Firefox from the given options. There's no need to uninstall Firefox before you downgrade to the previous version of it.But before new installation, backup your Firefox profile folder.
edit: replaced random unofficial download site link.

thankx 4 all your help xr417 but i think i found a solution to my problems. There is however another question i want to ask. if i disabled private browsing, how can i get it back?
Have you disabled private browsing permanently ? If you are using an extension like PB Disable to disable private browsing then you can undo the changes by simply deleting a file named pbdisable@mozillazine.org.xpi from extensions folder. Don't forget to switch to safe mode before deleting. You can't find that add-on on plugins menu.
