I do not seem to get the expected results, as I used to, when I put in certain search parameters. For example when I used to search for 'nab' the search would bring up, as expected, the National Australia Bank. Now I get a whole lot of irrelevant 'Sponsored Results' and the following 'Web' results are also irrelevant. How can this be?

My recollection is that I was using a Google search engine, now it just seems to be Firefox. have I changed some settings or something?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
