I recently opened Firefox and everything was messed up. All of my settings had disappeared. I managed to change some settings back, but now the menu bar isn't responding, it's just all greyed out. The back button is the same way. The address bar doesn't even display an address, or if it does it's of a different tab. And all of my changes to my settings disappear after I close the program. What exactly has happened here?

  2. Put a check mark by Reset toolbars and controls and Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults.
  3. Click Make Changes and Restart

For more information, you could try looking at Changes to toolbars and window sizes are not saved and Reset Firefox preferences to troubleshoot and fix problems.
