I am unable to upgrade past Firefox 3.6 because an application we use does not appear to work properly any any newer version. The application is CA Service Manager and is based on JavaScript. The pages display properly, but none of the links in the pages seem to work. When I click on a link, nothing happens. I have tried restarting in safe mode and resetting the profile, but neither of those helped any. Is this just a setting I need to change?

That would explain it. It does seem to work fine in IE, so I guess I can use that for my service desk tickets and continue to use Firefox for everything else.

   Thanks for your help.

Would you be able to at least provide a link to the site you are having issues with, so that more experienced users can crack a shot at it? If not, please open a support ticket directly with the Mozilla team. There should be a "Report broken site" function in the Help menu of Firefox as well.

The application is a tool we use to open and view service tickets for our operations and unfortunately is not available outside of our organization. Thanks.

you're welcome - you could also try using an addon like ietab to render the site inside firefox with the internet explorer engine: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ie-tab-2-ff-36

AN IE emulator for Firefox. Now that's ironic. :) I was just informed that there are plans to upgrade Service Desk in the next month or so. Hopefully that will take care of it.

The last digit seems to have gotten lost in the bug ID (62736).

Do you mean this bug?

yes, you're right cor-el (will correct it in my original post)

Yeah, that bug report is the the one that directly addresses the issue I am experiencing. But the IE tab takes care of it. And a bunch of other issues too (sharepoint, updates, etc.). Now that's cool!
