PDF Viewer zooms toolbar on Ctrl-Shift-=

more options

In the builtin PDF viewer, Ctrl-"-" and Ctrl-"=" are used for zooming. However Ctrl-Shift-"=" seems to be interpreted by firefox and zoomes the page it displays as a whole, including the PDF toolbar.

The variants without shift work as expected also change the zoom value displayed in the PDF toolbar, the variant with shift does not.

This is somewhat annoying, it would be great if the behaviour could be consistent.

I've never noticed the Ctrl+Shift variants. Are these a UI convention on Linux?

I'm not sure how to submit a suggestion for the PDF viewer. Fixing the Ctrl+ variants was done in the underlying project, which has an issues list here: https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issues. But it might be that Mozilla can plug the gap until that gets addressed there.

Edit: This isn't actually on the issues list yet as far as I can tell.
