Each time I log into the internet (Google) a [JavaScript Application] box pops us indicating "Error: TypeError: boxOverlay_AVG is null".

Not sure what's going on?

I do notice that I am unable to print certain pages from internet sites.

Since the messages references AVG, you could try disabling your AVG toolbar extension and see whether that eliminates the message. You can do that here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category

If the message goes away after restarting Firefox, this may indicate that your AVG software needs an update.

If the message persists, we would need to track down some other cause.

By the way, Firefox 21 is now available. Not sure it will make any difference to the other issues, but you can update using:

Help > About Firefox > "Check for Updates" button

Could you describe the printing issue in more detail? If you recall the pages that have problems, it could be helpful to get those URLs, assuming an account isn't needed to view them.
