Hello! :)

My problem:

After the latest Firefox update (24.0), which happened automatically, Comodo alerted that "firefox.exe could not be recognized and is about to connect to the Internet." Comodo showed the path to the firefox.exe as ".../Mozilla Firefox/updated/firefox.exe", but the directory named "updated" was nonexistent. I guess it's a temporary folder for the update, right? Can anyone confirm that this directory is legit? I'm worried that the update might have been compromised, because I did some googling and mostly malware logs contain this kind of weird firefox.exe path.

edit: I forgot to mention that restarting the computer solves the issue.

Here's a snippet from Defense+ log:

hello aion, yes the way you have described is the normal/expected way how firefox updates get applied. so there's no need to worry about the comodo alert (it's probably a false positive since it doesn't have the new version in its databases yet).
