I can't upload large files to PutLocker via Firefox or FireFTP, it works fine for an hour or so and then goes to 0% and starts all over again?

I did manage to upload three large files (800-950MB) to PutLocker about a month ago using Firefox. But lately, uploading a similar file, after about an hour or so returns an I\O Error #2038. I tried to use FireFTP, but no luck. It seems like after some time the connection gets reset, in the log section I see that username and password are obtained, and the upload starts all over again. Same file was uploaded correctly without any problems using another browser.

I run Firefox 26.0 on Windows XP Professional Build 2600 SP3. And the FireFTP is v 2.0.17.

Edit: Here's what I think might be the problem. I tried FireFTP with Bitshare and after almost 7h of upload I got these in log:

       PASV

227 Entering Passive Mode (199,80,55,133,53,156)

      APPE filename.mp4

150 Accepted data connection

I think this APPE might be the problem, I never got it with PutLocker. But I don't know how to solve this.

What is APPE? Try doing these in turn;

Clear the Cache Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

and

Remove Cookies Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode

Use several of the programs listed below

============================

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

willWork4Food, That particular I/O error has these recommended workarounds: http://support.e-zekiel.com/templates.../details.asp?id=31606&PG=resources&CID=34053

In your settings the Flash bock is disabled, so it may not be blocking the Flash plug in. Have you updated to the latest version of Flash?

Please let us know how these troubleshooting steps go.

@guigs2

I tried these 4 steps and only Step 2 was successful - using another browser.

I didn't get that about Flash block? Is it supposed to be enabled? Do I need Flash plug-in for uploading to PutLocker? I think I tried disabling this plug-in and ended up with no option to browse files I want to upload.

@fredmcd

I did try clearing cache and cookies, it didn't work though.

I'll have a go with Safe Mode and some of the antivirus software. Will report back.

Edit: After a short research I came to a conclusion that APPE is an FTP command meaning APPEND. As I understand, this should append data to the file if the connection breaks, weather it is upload or download.

Success! MalwareBytes did the trick. Safe mode alone didn't.

Even though I pay attention to safe browsing I somehow got 34 detections from MalwareBytes. In my defense, there are others using this computer.
