any luck if you delete in your profile folder the User.js file you have ?

The user.js file does not exist by default. If you create the file, forget it, if you have not create the file then delete the User.js file, to see if the problem goes away (some programs create and write in the file also).

Could you give a little more detail on where you are getting suggestions that you do not want to see? Firefox makes different suggestions for:

• Address bar
  • addresses from bookmarks, history, and open tabs

• Search bar(s)
  • matches from your search site to your partially typed query
  • similar previous searches (search history)

• Forms
  • previous entries for that field (form history)
