This previous solution doesn't work anymore on Firefox 59 (Arch Linux):

"Chosen solution

You can add code to the userContent.css file.

   http://kb.mozillazine.org/userContent.css
  1. reader-toolbar { display:none !important; }

The customization files userChrome.css (user interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

   http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_configuration

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

   Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
   http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
   Create the chrome folder (lowercase) in the <xxxxxxxx>.default profile folder if this folder doesn't exist
   Use a plain text editor to create userContent.css file in the chrome folder (file name is case sensitive)
   Paste the code in the userContent.css file
   Save the file as userContent.css in the chrome folder"

Any ideas? Thanks!

Don't know why they changed it, but to make it work now you have to put .toolbar { visibility: hidden !important; } in the userContent.css file.

If you want to keep the toolbar but don't like the bright color of it, you can use this instead.

Dear @Pkshadow,

Thank you for your reply. My usserChrome Folder and usserChrome.css file worked well until the update to Firefox 59 (and there are still in the right place) so I it should be related with this new version.
