Hi. For no obvious reason, I can’t send or receive emails on my laptop or iPhone using my hotmail account? I received a message from Microsoft about unusual activity and my emails had also stopped working? I change my password by logging into Microsoft to do it and I can send and receive emails through that route but Thunderbird still rejects me from doing the same even though I have a new password. I typed the new password into my account on hotmail but it says imap doesn’t support passwords? My hotmail email is wmmajor@hotmail.co.uk Can you help? Mr W M Major.

Try to run outlook/ hotmail into safe modus. There indeed will be a option to send messages again in safe modus to. If you can create a new outlook/ hotmail profile in safe modus. This will also create the option to send mails again when in safe modus.
