I like using google because they are pretty much the only option I have for a lot of things because I mainly use my phone, but I just have a strange feeling that they are always listening and I'm not getting certain searches or the most out of my phone that I can with just there stand alone, apps and when I try to download or install certain apps or use certain things. It just always seemed to have a problem with so i'm trying to go around google, but yet still use google if you know what I mean.

Google is a company and search engine so you question here is vague and not sure what being asked here. There is Android phone that has their own Chrome browser. And Chrome Android doesn't allow Addons to be installed.
