Firefox not loading webpages but other browsers/ services work
I’m having some issues using firefox on my PC. I just moved and set up my pc and internet like i normally would, but for some reason firefox won’t load any webpages, it just says that the connection timed out because it was taking too long to load. What’s weird is that my PC is connected to the network through ethernet fine, other browsers work and other applications can download like normal. I’ve tried restarting my PC, restarting my router, changing the proxy setting on firefox, checking to see if firefox can go through my firewall etc etc. Does anyone know a fix to this issue?

If you are on Windows 10 then you can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.
See "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019":

- https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe
You may not need the latter (32-bit version) if you use 64-bit Firefox. You may have to reboot the computer.
Tried it with the x64 version and rebooted and no change :(
Launching firefox in trouble shoot mode seems to have the same problem as well
Also tried to refresh firefox and still nothing

So it seems to be something with the firewall… i turned it off temporarily on my private network and it worked fine, so i checked the permissions and it was enabled to pass through on private networks so i changed it to where it would be allowed to pass through both and re-enabled it, but now it’s not working again ??
Okay i narrowed it down again.. firefox will work when my network is set to public but not to private but i don’t really understand that because i’m on my apartment wifi that’s just used by me and my sister but maybe that’s causing it to have some conflict?
