When I launch firefox 3.6.8 2 tabs open for my home page instead of just one.

Just installed 3.6.8. At launch 2 tabs are opened, both for my home page. I have closed out several times and relaunched but each time 2 tabs are opening.

Just looked at the plug-ins listed below and have no idea why I would have a plug-in for Netscape Navigator - haven't used that in years and years and never on this computer. Also some of the others are not recognized. Doubt tho whether any of this applies to my current question.

1. On the menu bar, located on top of Firefox, select Tools | Options

2. Confirm you are in the General Panel

What is your Home Page set to? You can click Restore to Default to set the default Home Page. Use current Page will automatically make the page you are on in Firefox the Home Page. Use Current Bookmark will allow you to use a bookmark as your Home Page. You can set multiple Home Pages with the |symbol.
