Hi there, I am Disabled and dyslexic and have found voice search on my android phone a life save, but there seems like there is no voice search for Firefox I have searched under as many terms as I can think of to find an add-on that will add the voice search to function to Firefox but nothing, I have read the forum with regard to voice search but there is no useful info there, just people saying there is no demand!!! Why would Chrome have it if it was not used and why so many other voice search add-on's for Chrome if no one wanted it? there are over 8 million disabled in the UK add to that Dyslexics partial sighted unregistered disabled and thats millions more from just one small country. add to that the people that just want to voice search there are millions more, surly that is enough demand! I know Chrome has it (several types) is it not time to add such a useful and for many a vital function to Firefox? I love Firefox and have been using it since it was first released and really would much rather stay with Firefox than move over to Chrome, but it looks like I will have no option! I hope I am wrong and there is voice search for Firefox some were that I have missed and it so please have a laugh at how stupid I have been and point out were it is.

please forgive spelling / grammar errors what can i say spell check is good but not perfect.

regards, mark.

You did not say if you wanted the program to read to you, or to hear what you are saying.

I looked in the add-ons web page and found a few things.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=voice

"voice search" to be able to speak though my microphone and enter a voice search, like goonow voice search or Gnow voice search in Chrome. or Google voice search on android. there are plenty of text to voice add-on's thank you, it is voice to search i need.

regards, mark.

See if Microsoft has something. There are also third party programs. I don't know how they work or hook up to the system.

You would likely have enabled this feature in the Windows OS settings to make possible to use it in other programs.
