Why does Firefox keep crashing? I can't even get it to open anymore and I deleted it and installed the newest version but that didn't help.
For two days now, anytime I try to open Firefox it crashes and a window pops up and supposedly sends a crash report but I have heard nothing from Mozilla and Firefox continues to CRASH. I had been using Facebook when this problem first occurred. I NEED to be able to use FIREFOX but right now it is useless to me. I uninstalled and then downloaded the newest version of Firefox but that did nothing to solve the problem.

Hello dschump, we're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing when you open it. Please do the following to give us crash IDs that will help us understand more about the crash.
- Click the Finder icon in the dock. On the menu bar, click the Go menu, hold down the option or alt key and select Library. A window will open containing your Library folder. Then open the "Application Support" folder, the "Firefox" folder, the "Crash Reports" folder and finally the "submitted" folder.
- Open the 5 most recent files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
- Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!

thank you
this didn't do anything and NOW Fontbook crashes as well
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
That doesn't work because firefox crashes before I can do all of that!
Firefox crashed in safe mode? Please post all crash reports since the ones you listed above.

Go to %AppData% and Firefox program folder and delete them both. Then use CCleaner to get rid of the registry. Then, reinstall Firefox. This worked for me :)

As I have stated previously, I CANNOT DO ANYTHING WITH MY FONTS ANYMORE BECAUSE SINCE THE ISSUE WITH MOZILLA FIREFOX STARTED WHENEVER I TRY TO OPEN FONTBOOK IT CRASHES AS WELL. I GUESS MOZILLA AND FIREFOX HAVE REALLY FUCKED UP MY ENTIRE COMPUTER.
Stop shouting. I know you're frustrated but If Fontbook is crashing then a corrupt font is the most likely reason.
Firefox does not install any fonts. Firefox crashing is a symptom of the corrupt font not the cause.
Did you look/work through the links that cor-el posted?

Try to boot your Mac in Safe Mode:
1. Shut down your Mac and wait 10 seconds 2. Press the power button 3. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone. 4. Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
