MAC OS 10.9.3 Firefox 30.0

Even though configured when firefox starts : Show my windows and tabs from last time, upon restart it will still show the mozilla home page.

Surprisingly the option in menu History > Restore Previous Session is greyed out.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"

I am using Firefox on MAC. The option was not available directly unless I select Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Firefox will: Use customer settings for history and the "Always use Private browsing mode" was not selected.

And when I restarted, the tabs will not recover. Also Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session is also greyed out.
