I have FireFox 3.1.1 and Windows 7 Pro. In FireFox Options -- Content -- Default font -- Advanced window - Western - cannot find Arial Black font in dropdown list. I have tried both Serif and Sans-Serif. MS Word has Arial Black font. Can you help me customize FireFox to use Arial Black font? Thanks

Firefox may not distinguish between the various Arial fonts and treat them as one Arial font family. A specific variant is chosen based upon what font style and variant and weight rules are applied.

  • Arial Black: font-weight: 900
  • Arial Narrow: font-stretch: condensed

You can test that on this page via the right-click context menu in the Inspector (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) on the Font tab.
