My laptop is protected with the AVG AntiVirus free package. The Windows Firewall is on.

Chosen solution

No need to go to ftp to get the full setup when there is https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

To find this link go to mozilla.org -> Green box and Systems & Languages link below the Download.

Hi Martin,

Sorry to hear Firefox isn't downloading.

I'd like to try a different download link with you. Could you follow this instructions and let us know whether they work?

  1. Go to: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/win32/
  2. Click the relevant link for your locale/language. (British English is en-GB, US English is en-US, etc)
  3. Click Firefox Setup 34.0.5.exe. This is quite a large file, so might take a few minutes to download. Once it's downloaded, run the file and it should install Firefox.

To explain: the Firefox Setup 34.0.5.exe file will contain everything you need to install Firefox. Firefox Setup Stub 34.0.5.exe is the normal installer - it doesn't include all of the Firefox files, but instead will download them after you start the installation. Hopefully if we download the full Firefox installer, it will work.

Cheers,

Jayelbe
