A new share icon appeared in toolbar after recent Firefox 35.0 update. There are plenty of social sites to share links, even Gmail is available, but I do not see the possibility to share link using Thunderbird? Is that possible or in development? Thank you.

hello Swiftor, when you go into the firefox customization mode you'll also find a "send link per mail" button which you can place on the toolbar: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars

this will make use of the mail program you have set in the firefox menu ≡ > options > applications for "mailto"-links. Change the program used to open email links

Great, that was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you philipp. Anyway I think it would be nice to have those two functions in one place - as the nice "paper-plane" button.
