How do you disable the search page from opening when the home button is pressed? (Samsung Galaxy S5)

I love Firefox mobile but this little feature is pretty annoying. It replaced the default setting for my home button and now, instead of going to the home screen of my phone, it opens a Firefox search page when pressed. Anyone know how to turn it off?

Hi Tmiletes

Here's how to do this on a Samunsg S5 (might be slightly different on non Samsung phones)

  1. Open the Android Settings App
  2. Tap on "Application manager"
  3. Tap on "Firefox"
  4. Tap on "CLEAR DEFAULTS"

After you do the above Firefox will no longer be automatically invoked when you long hold the Home buton. Unfortunately on Samsung you can't set "long hold Home" to do nothing so if you don't like Firefox being invoked, you will have to set it to Google or some other app.

Please let us know if that solves your problem!

Cheers!
