I went to http://www.greenpasture.org/public/Home/index.cfm and they displayed the following message:

We see that you are using Firefox version 37.0 as your browser. This browser has a serious security defect and is not recommended for use on this website. Please change to Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari or Opera or any other browser to continue browsing this website without issue.

Is this true? -If not, why are they displaying it, who else believes this is so, and where did this rumor come from? -If so, when will this be fixed?

P.S. - I was going to send you a Screen Print/Shot from my computer to your "Feedback" webpage feature, but I couldn't submit it here. Can you add this feature in the feature?

Chosen solution

I just went back to the site to capture a screenshot of the Security Message and it no longer shows. I guess either Mozilla or Green Pastures fixed the problem.

The website is making false claims for when it sees the Firefox 37.0 useragent and not any other version.

It may actually be the website host doing this and not giving a reason to.

It was not a issue by Mozilla nor the Firefox browser. Mozilla also did not do any updates for the older Firefox 37.0 as the 37.0.2 update released on April 20, was the last for 37.0.

Mozilla did however Release 38.0.1 today just recently as a update for 38.0 due to some problem crash some users were getting.

. Whenever you get a message / popup that software / files need to be updated;

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS

While this may be a legitimate message, it could also be Malware or a Virus. Any time you want or need to check for upgrades, go to the web site of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to Mozilla.org. {web link}
