Videos don't play, FF 41.0.2

After the update to Firefox 41.0.2, I've had continual problems with videos not playing on any web site.

Initially I upgraded my version of Flash, and this solved the problem. But a week later, and in the middle of the day, videos wouldn't play. Again, I updated Flash, and this solved the problem.

And again right now -- after only a week, and after playing videos OK all through the day, suddenly videos don't play, without warning -- just an endless loading symbol on everything.

Do I need to go through the process of updating Flash *every* time this happens from now on?? And on an almost weekly basis, just for videos to function in this version of this browser? This has never happened in any previous version of Firefox that I've ever used. This is a serious pain.
