On a number of web sites where data entry is required, either the entry box does not display, or the box does not allow entry. This is on my MAC. When I use Firefox on a PC there is no problem. This issue only appeared a couple of weeks ago. Thanks.

Can you attach a screenshot?

  • Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
  • Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : "Override the colors specified by the page with my selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.

This setting affects background images.

Thanks for the response. I will try these steps. May take me awhile as I am still at work. I'll let you know if it works by tomorrow. Thanks again, Blueser.

None of the above worked. I will try the reset next. Question, will I lose my add-on and extension settings? Thanks

Yes, but the original data will be saved.
