I am using Windows Snipping Tool and the hotkey for a new snip is Ctrl-N. This is also the hotkey for a new window in Firefox, so I would like to disable it. Is there a command that can be changed in about:config or some other way to do this?

I place a short-cut for the Snipping Tool on my desktop. If you want, you can change its hot-key.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

How do you change Snipping Tool's hotkey? I don't see any options on the Win8 version. Seems to me there must be something that could be changed in about:config.

Snipping Tool is a part of the computer system, not Firefox.

Create a shortcut to the Snipping Tool. Place it on the desktop, or wherever you want. Open the shortcut's properties. Select Shortcut and make your choice.

Thanks but that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the ability to turn off the Ctrl-N hotkey in the browser. It would be better if it I could turn it off in Firefox and be done with it rather than trying to turn it off in every app. I don't ever want to use Ctrl-N in Firefox to open a new tab. Ever. I was hoping someone here would be able to tell me what command in about:config will turn this off and what the setting needs to be.
