Your crash report lists Firefox version 47 and was processed on June 10 2016, however you posted using 53.0.3. Any idea why that is?

The crash time is June 10, 2016 , so it is likely that the OP clicked a not submitted report with no 'bp-' prefix on the about:crashes page.

Aren't there any more recent crash reports available?

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.

  • Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox

You can check for issues caused by plugins.

  • set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the about:addons page ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins)
  • plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode

Try to disable multi-process windows in Firefox to see if that has effect.

You can disable multi-process windows in Firefox by setting these prefs to false on the about:config page.

  • browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false
  • browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

You can open the about:config page: via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
