Have updated FF to 64-bit several times. Once FF is recycled, it resets to 32-bit mode. Running Windows 10, 64-bit mode, 16Gb ram. Why is this happening?

Chosen solution

Define "Recycled"

You would have to goto add/remove programs, uninstall firefox then be sure to download the correct 64bit version: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-stub&os=win64&lang=en-US

As I believe 32bit versions kept on downloading 32bit versions in error as Windows held on to the 32bit version longer compared to Linux and OSX
