Using 60.0.1 (64-bit).

Installing any addon leaves it in the "installing" state on the addons page.

Looking at the filesystem, the file is downloaded to tmp correctly.

Archive: tmp-m2c.xpi

 Length Date Time Name

---------- ----- ----
    4202 2018-04-19 21:40 META-INF/mozilla.rsa
   16725 1980-00-00 00:00 LICENSE
   44729 1980-00-00 00:00 _locales/de/messages.json

The following file is empty, i'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that:

~/.mozilla/firefox/2hye0x1c.default/extensions/staged$

-rw------- 1 matico matico 0 May 27 13:18 firefox@ghostery.com.xpi

Installing as a "temporary extension" loads the plugin correctly.

I'm unsure of the problem!

Hi, have you checked with your community forum your flavour of Ubuntu for solutions to this issue. ?

Someone will come along here sooner or later that knows Linux but if wanting to get started that would be the place to go.
