Why do I no longer hear a new mail voice message in AOL Mail - OK using Chrome or IE11, but not Firefox?

AOL Mail has the facility to "You have Email" when my account is opened, but it no longer works in Firefox! it is fine if I use Chrome or IE11 to open my account, but not using firefox - so the problem MUST be with Firefox. It used to work but stopped around April 9 or 10 2019!

It sounds like it's probably something to do with the new autoplay blocking feature in Firefox. If you go to the settings and search for the Block websites from automatically playing sound checkbox, you can either disable that entirely or add the AOL Mail website to the exception list.

Hope this helps.
