Lightning without Thunderbird

Hello, The Lightning calendar is actually my primary use of Thunderbird, I installed it just for the calendar. Most of the time, I launch T-Bird just to check my calendar. Because incoming e-mails are always a distraction in my workflow, I was wondering if there was any way of using Lightning *without* Thunderbird, i.e. a separate application basically. Indeed on one of my PCs I haven't set up an e-mail account in TB, but just my CalDAV calendars. This way, the e-mail setup wizard greets me each time I want to look at my calendar. On my other PC, I have my e-mail account configured, and I can make it so that the Lightning tab is in the foreground when starting TB, but still the e-mail tab is open and e-mails are downloaded in the background. I don't mind having TB installed and using it for my e-mail is also fine I'd just like to launch them separately, so nothing e-mail related happens whenever I use Lightning. I sthere any way to accomplish that?
