YouTube studio features; adding subtitles and blurring does not work in firefox. While uploading subtitles, I select the subtitle from the computer, but when I say upload, it does not. The same screen remains. The problem with blurring is that the selection tool does not appear when the blurring screen is opened. These features work in chrome

Hello....

Do you see the captions button on the player?

Did you check the Option button in the Captions link?

Is Firefox using the Flash player or an HTML5 player?

You did not understand the problem. Please read it carefully again. firefox uses html5 player. It doesn't work the same in flash player.

Doesn't YouTube studio have support for that online application?

IMO, Google very purposely ignores comparability with Firefox, or just doesn't care how it works in anything except for "their" web browser, Chrome. Edge may work, too, only due to MS knuckling under to creating Edge from the Webkit / Blink browser core from the Chromium project which is what Google uses for Google Chrome.

And beyond YouTube studio support, you might find help and knowledge over at reddit.
https://www.reddit.com/r/YouTubeStudio/

Just a suggestion, as I am not registered there, and don't use YouTube Studio, only with /firefox/ .

is this a solution?

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

(ottoman),

please read and follow the given link :

Chosen Solution Does it help if you disable hardware acceleration?

Try to set the gfx.content.azure.enabled pref to false or if this didn't help disable Direct2D by setting the gfx.direct2d.disabled pref to true on the about:config page and leave hardware acceleration otherwise enabled.

Why do you write the automatic answers of 7 years ago here. Firefox has changed a lot in 7 years. What you write has nothing to do with the solution.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
