I have been running this site,:www.MeWe.com", on fox fire for a long time but yesterday all I get is a white page. Other browsers open it but not Fox Fire? What went wrong?

Chosen solution

I accidentally figured it out. I went to my control panel to delete FireFox. When I chose to delete it I was given the choice "renew the file" or something like that. My memory sucks. Anyway it fixed it. Again thanks for your time and help.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

Why all this confusing data that opens nothing in foxfire. Why not just make a link that opens it. I had a stroke and lost short term memory. I can't remember directions. " How to unblock a page is forgotten before I get there. And when I do get there it ask me a bunch of questions I don't know the answer to.

I guess I will have to use another browser to open MeWe.com

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").

using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

If necessary use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" (Mac: Command+Shift+R) to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

Guess I'll just have to use another browser.

If you no longer can access the site, then something went wrong on your computer. As you can see on the attached pic, the website is still working.

You could try to simply create a new profile in FF and see if that helps.

more options

how would I know what a "profile in FF" is. Nothing is wrong with my computer. All the other browsers can open MeWe.com. Just Fire Fox stopped opening it.

If you would like to conduct a test (simple experiment) to see if by chance a new profile might view the site, its easy to do.

Go to the url below and then click on "create profile". Then when its open, retry the site.

If it works out, then "great". But if not, then at least we eliminated a possibility.

I don't see any URL to click on?

I apologize for the confusion.

copy the small sentence below and paste into the url address bar. then press enter key:

is there a question here?

what i suggested is to create a new profile and see if the virgin environment would be able to render that problematic page you're having issues with.

when you click on the "create" button, it will launch a new profile for you to use and test.

if it proves not to be of any help, then your default profile will still be in place after restarting FF.

if however, the new profile does solve the problem, then i guess you know what will need to be done?

more options

Sorry but I don't know what needs to be done. But I thank you for your time. I just don't have enough brains left to do anything. A stroke will do that to you. Again I thank you for your time. You have made a great effort. I just can't do these things anymore,

more options

i understand. figuring out what causes FF to hiccup can be challenging.

what would need to be done "if" that virgin profile worked out with viewing that webpage, we would then make it your new "default profile".

and the default profile that you had used but was having issues with that page, would be deleted.

so when you get a chance, see if a new virgin profile works out.

if not, then nothing lost and other things can be considered to resolve the issue you have.

i'll check back on tomorrow.
