Hello All ,

( FYI i cleared cookies on my machine ) My Firefox downloads used to save directly into the download folder. It also added (1) and sequential numbers thereafter for repeated document names. It was all automatic. ex. Doc(1) Doc(2) Doc (3) It is now asking for where to put the file and a file name when I download from Fire fox. I download way to many files with the same names from Staples, Bestbuy etc.. to have to continually rename the files. I have tried to set it back to the way it was downloading but I was unsuccessful . Does anyone know how to get the stetting back?

This is the first setting in the Downloads section of the Settings page. Either:

  • Save files to [one folder] -- Firefox handles naming conflicts
  • Always ask you where to save files -- you resolve naming conflicts
