I was wondering if it is possible to make the open folder of emails on the right and then the view of the emails on the right? I have it set up on "Vertical" layout and would like all of the messages to be on the right hand side of the screen, but the view of the message in the middle between "all folders" and the open message

No, the option is folder >>> Lists>>>> details there is no sort.
