Previously I could R click on the tab bar and FF would drop down a menu which included undo close tab. Now I must open a blank tab and R click on it to get the same menu. Is there some way to go back to the much simpler method of only R clicking on the tab bar for this menu without having to open a blank tab?

Do you have the tab bar visible?

  • Tools > Options > Tabs: [X] "Always show the tab bar"

You can use "Shift + Ctrl+ T" or "Firefox > History > Recently Closed Tabs"

Yes, the tab bar is visible. Previously I could R click a blank space on the tab bar and a drop down window would open which among other options allowed me to "undo close tab" Now I must open a blank tab and R click on it to preform the same function. My FF experience just got more complicated as a result.
