Home page loaded with Firefox fills the entire screen. I see no tool bar or task bar. I had to use ctrl+alt+del to close the program. reboot did not help; remove and re-install no help. This does not happen with Windows Internet Explorer.

But to get anyone to help you further, you'll have to tell us which operating system you have installed i.e. is it Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, MAC OSX, Linux, Ubuntu or some other OS.

"I see no tool bar or task bar..."

If you're using Firefox 4 under a Windows operating system, you're seeing the new look, which has no tool/menu bar or status bar in the default setting. The tools/menus are found under the Firefox button in the top left corner.

You can configure the browser to show you a menu bar by setting an option.

If you're using another version of Firefox, you may be in full-screen mode.
