With firefox 4.0.1 none of my passwords or log in names are entered from my norton program. I would like to go back to 4.0 which was working fine with all my systems. Any way this can be done? Below it list my installed plug ins but those are from my laptop which I'm using now not from my desktop which is the problem child.

Symantec are due to release updates very soon to make their add-ons work in Firefox 4.0.1. For details see http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Norton-product-compatibility-with-Firefox-Updates/m-p/443808

Pending this update, you can go back to Firefox 4.0, their add-ons work in that version. You can get Firefox 4.0 from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0/win32/ - you need to select the folder for your language, you can then download and run the Firefox 4 setup file to install it.

If you do install Firefox 4.0 temporarily turn off automatic updates until Symantec update their add-ons. To do that in the Firefox options window, go to the Advanced panel, and then the Update tab and de-select the option to automatically check for updates to Firefox.

TonyE Thanks for the help but I am too much of a nontech to get through your description with out help. When I use the link you provided it takes me to a page - Open Source Lab with a parent directory and folders with names like ak/ af/ etc. Your direction is to select the folder for my language. From what I see on that page I have no idea what to select.

If you are using the English (US) version, download the setup file "Firefox Setup 4.0.exe" from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0/win32/en-US/

You can then run that file to install Firefox 4.0

Thanks for the help. I uninstalled 4.0.1 then installed 4 but unable to reactivate Norton. Guess my next step is to contact them. Thanks again.
