when i click on the icon which has the plus sign , it doesn't open a new tab as it should do . also when i try to open a new tab from the FILE menu . It works only when i right click on a link and choose open in new tab . thanx

I think the Ask toolbar could cause this problem. You could try disabling it here:

Tools > Add-ons > Extensions

(Note: it may come installed with the Foxit PDF reader)

Thank you jscher2000. Your answer was very helpful, The Ask Toolbar was the problem . I really hate That Toolbar . Many programs ask me to install that awful toolbar , I refuse , but eventually i find it installed. Then i try to uninstall it with different programs but i can't remove it. I really was so angry with it . You should know now how much your advice was helpful. Thank you very much.
