McAfee Enterprise 8.7 doesn't support Firefox 4. Is there a security risk because of this?
Business Objects XIr3.1 was rewritten in Java. It is much slower on our client machines and we're trying to find a workaround to gain some speed until we get new hardware. We are a non-profit hospital group and are always short on money for the latest upgrades. We are researching slowness issues and need to know the risk of going to Firefox 4 over IE7. McAfee's website states Firefox 4 is not supported. Should this be a concern or is Firefox security sufficient?

AFAIK, the only thing that would be incompatible with Firefox 4 is the McAfee extension for Firefox which duplicates a feature that is already built into Firefox - Web Forgery and Anti-Phishing protection. Everything else in McAfee shouldn't be dependent upon a web browser version.
These two pages will test Firefox's Web Forgery and Anti-Phishing feature.
